Short-term rental

Renting an apartment for a short time period

When a the rental contract has a duration of less than six months, it is considered a short-term rental. In some cases it is possible that apartments are rented for less than a week, for example when a bank holiday extends the weekends. But generally one week is the minimum period for short-term rentals. The weekly prices chance depending on the season and the apartment.

Making the reservation and the rent deposit

At this time we have almost 80 apartments for rent, so we always have something available. However, to get the apartment that best suits your needs, it’s good to be on time. Especially in June, July and August, or around the holidays, it is recommendable to start planning and surveying at least six months in advance. This is also the case if you are interested in renting for the entire winter season. The rent deposit is a binding reservation, so there is no separate retainer. The amount of the rent deposit varies according to the apartment size and the equipment, but usually it’s the same as one month’s rent.

The rent deposit is paid back when you leave and the rental contract is terminated, if the apartment is in the same condition as it was when you moved in. If the reservation is cancelled before the rental contract begins, the deposit will not be paid back without a medical certificate that forbids travelling at that time.

Paying the rent

The rent is to be paid by bank transfer one week before the arrival date, at the latest, and otherwise in cash or by credit card when the keys are handed over. In case of a longer stay, the first month is to be paid. The following payments are to be made during the first 5 days of each month. Rent can be paid in cash or by credit card at our office, by bank transfer to our Spanish bank account.

Equipment standards of the apartments

All the apartments available for short-term rental have all the necessary covers and kitchen equipment. The standard equipment also includes a stove, washing machine and a TV. Some apartments may also have additional equipment e.g. microwave, DVD-player or dishwasher. But these are always mentioned in the description of the apartment.

Cleaning fee

In addition to the rent there is a cleaning fee. So you don’t need to clean the apartment when you leave, because we will always send in a cleaner after our quests leave. The cleaning fee depends of the size of the apartment and includes one load of laundry.

Arrival, handing over the keys and departure

When you arrive at the apartment, one of our staff members is there to greet you and handover the keys. Usually the rental contract is then also signed then, and the rent is paid for the first month or the complete rental period. If you have booked the airport transfer through us, the driver will have the keys and the rental contract for you. You can also pay the rent directly to the driver.

When you leave the apartment either a staff member or the driver will come round to do the final inspection, and return the deposit in cash (if the apartment is in the same condition as it was on arrival).
